for hecks sakeness!!!

That is my 3 yr old dd's new favoritest saying!  She was cracking me up every time she would say it today.  We were driving in the car after swim lessons and I had all the windows rolled down because my ac doesn't work (hopefully that will be fixed tomorrow) and she was cold, so she said to me, "Roll up your windows, Mom, for hecks sakeness, I am freezing."  Funny funny girl.

We are cruising along with our summer plans, swimming, golf lessons, trip to see family, etc.  It is keeping me busy.  The kids do alright.  Some days are too much for them to be around each other so much though, and they start to be mean to one another and to do things on purpose to make the other one mad.  Sheesh, can't they just all get along, hahaha!!  yeah right.  My older two are the worst.  When they love each other they do so deeply it is awesome, but when they are mad at each other you'd better watch out! WOAH!

So I am going on a bit of a vacation next week.  I am going to visit my in laws.  Should be fun and crazy and tiring all at the same time.  Vacations normally are.  I still am uncertain exactly how long I will be there.  dh and I will figure it out at some point.  I am excited to see family that I haven't seen in such a long time, some of them for more than a year.  And then to meet and smooch on my new nephew, too.  That will be delightful!

Scrapping...the fabulous Shabby Miss Jenn is our guest this month at ScrapArtist.  She is so great.  We have a super huge kit with her for sale at SA for this month only, Ocean Picnic.

hahahaaaa!!

I sure was sick for a LONG time. LOL!!

OK so really that picture a day thing fell apart!!I still take TONS of pictures, but definitely NOT every day! UGH!!  I thought it would be so great.  And I am going to try again!

Well, I really was sick for a very long time.  Let me back up.....

Back in August of last year, I was about 7 months pregnant, anemic, and very tired.   I got sick, some little 48 hour bug.  But then about two days after that I got this"cold".  And lets just say that it never really went away.I had a stuffy nose FOREVER!!!!  Seriously, it would get REALLY bad and sinus infectiony, then clear up a bit and just make me nasally, then sometimes I would just have a runny nose, etc.  It was bad and very frustrating.  sometimes I couldn't breathe through my nose for weeks on end.

Yes, I definitely should have seen a doctor, but I couldn't find the time.  I also just figured that since I had a baby and was up all the night long off and on the I just had a weak immune system and once I started sleeping better I would get better, but that didn't happen.  Also, with four small kids I just could hardly find time to think let alone make a doctors appt.  I saw my doctor finally in December (only because my darling hubby made the appointment) and a series of times until March.  I went on a few rounds of antibiotics and I would clear up while on them, but about two days after the course finished it would come back.  She sent me to a specialist and. . .

He says I have allergies. LOL!!  So I am on a nasal spray and fine now. LOL!!  All that for allergies.

I am so thankful!!  Honestly, when I would flare up really badly I would feel so sick.  My head hurt and my eyes hurt and I was so so tired.  It is nice the breath normal and not sound nasally all the time.

That's my sick story!

Recently my sweet baby boy has really started moving!  He is so cute.  He is not crawling yet, but I don't think he needs to.  He can get anywhere he wants.  He rolls like a mad man and stretches and pushes and he is just dangerous!  LOL!!  He takes up a ton of time just having to be on him all the time and it is only going to get worse.  I am really going to need to do some crazy baby proofing soon.  I must say that he is absolutely darling. He is the most pleasant baby.  We feel so lucky to have this sweet spirit in our family.

I am finally getting back into the swing of designing.  I went to Hawaii with my husband in April and I have hard a time getting back into it.  I have been crazy busy with baseball and tball and then just end of school stuff.  I have some things in the works but find it hard to get the time to finish them up. :)

Also, ScrapArtist has partnered with a company called Smilebox and I have been working on some project for them. :)  It is very cool and very easy to use.  My first project for them should be up soon.  I will be sure to link you there when it is finally up.  And I am working on another one for them. I am excited about this venture.

Speaking of Smilebox. LOL!!  I should get working. LOL!

days 5-10

I know I am running a but behind on posting my pics. :)  This has been a busy busy week.  My family has decided that we will focus on a room a day to clean super well to help keep out house picked up.  This has been the first full week that we have been doing it and it has been going REALLY well.  Also, the kiddos went back to school and all their after school stuff has started.  so--I became the taxi driver again. :)

I also am only going to post through day 10, because the others are still on my camera and I am feeling tired tonight.

So here they are:

day 5

080105005

sorry about the dead ducks!  My husband is a HUGE hunter.  Not my favorite thing, but hey, they are my family memories, too. . .I guess.  He had a good morning.

day 6

080106006

in the land of rain we got a wee bit of snow--but it was melted bu noon. ;)

day 7

080107007_2

These are my hubby's hand and my baby's hands--so precious.  The lighting was bad,  so I tried to hide it with some actions and I am not sure it made them look better or worse.  ROFL!  I will have to play more and I might update the picture.

day 8

080108008

I have a proud mom moment to tell about with this picture.  My son will get to be baptized this year, and he is very exited about it.  He has been begging my to get him a suit to wear to church like his daddy does, but I have just been putting it off.  Well, this week her came to me with his piggy bank money, and said, "Mom, I have been saving my money, and if I give it to you will you let me buy a suit for church?"  i could just not resist.  Never mind the fact that her only had 4.00 saved. :)  So he bought himself a suit and is so proud.  So here he is, sporting his new wares!  love that boy!

day 9

080109009

UMM__yeah--does that say it all. (hangs my head in shame!)  No real excuse.  i wasn't feeling well, and I was SO tired that day because I had been working on the SA collaboration kit, Winter's Beauty, late into the night (or should I say morning).  Speaking of the kit...it is fabulous..  you gotta check it out.  I'll post some previews at the end. :)

day 10

080110010

Here's my sweetie, just conked out in my arms while I was working on the computer!  HAHA HAHA!!  Isn't he the cutest!  I love those chubby cheeks, and how they sag when he is asleep!  they are just so smoochable!

So, there they are--my pics for last week, mostly.  I have the other two on my camera.
I will post them soon.  In the mean time...

day 2 and 3

I did take my picture yesterday, I just decided to watch a movie last night instead of post.

day 2

080102002

These are my daughters curls.  She is three now and her hair has just begun to look NOT like baby hair.  I remember the days when she would bring me a pony tail holder and say, "Mommy, I want braids."  Because I had just put some in her sisters hair, and she did not even have enough hair to hold a barrette in. Hee Hee!  Now--she has gorgeous curls and her red hair is stunning. :)  she get comments on it all the time.  And I love how her curls fall right after they are washed. :)  It just makes me smile.

day 3

Well, it got to 10:00 p.m. and I hadn't taken a picture, so I wandered in my house to find something.  And here it is:

080103003

I just put this candle on the side of my bath tub yesterday.  I LOVE hot baths.  LOL!!  It is my time, my place, my solitude.  One of my favorite scents in vanilla.  I have seen in ads, tv and movies, those huge tub surrounded by candles and have dreamed (I know--silly!!) of having a nice tub illuminated in the glow of candles.  I doubt I will ever have the total illumination (my dh hates candles-lol), but I do have a nice big tub now.  I moved this  candle in there just for me. :)  It is small, and doesn't smell as good as some of my other vanilla candles, but it works for now.  It made me happy yesterday as I was soaking.

I made myself a "this is the good life album".  My own little book of things I love, things that inspire, things that I have collected, things that drive my husband crazy because I have little torn out pieces of THINGS all over the house.  ROFL!!!  So now I have a place to put them. :)  I was trying to come up with a name and I decided that was perfect!  A LONG time ago I taught my kids to say when we were snuggling, "This is the good life."  And they still do.  When one of them will climb next to me on the couch and snuggle the say, "This is the good life, Mama", and it truly is.  I am going to decorate the outside of the album, I even bought some supplies.  (What, is that hybrid?? HMMM?)

I have been working on a collab for SA for January, we are running a little late this month.  I have been so inspired by the colors for the kit. It is going to be gorgeous.  I decided to give you a sneak peek of the papers I have been working on for it.

Jansneakpeek_3

I'm telling ya!  It is going to be gorgeous. Those are small cutouts of the papers I have finished for it.

OK--ready for a funny story.  My family says a family prayer together every night.  And my husband and I will often help our little one by whispering to her during the prayer of things to say.  SO...last night I was saying our family prayer, and I was saying, "please bless Connor, and Asher..." two of my soon to be born nephews, and my sweet red head whispers, "and Prancer" . . . you know the reindeer. . .as in Dancer and Dasher and Prancer and Vixen.  ROFL!!!! OMGOSH!!!  I couldn't even finish the prayer without busting up laughing right out loud. It was so funny!  I just love her!

Alright , back to the papers for the collab!  Thanks for reading. nite!

day 1

happy New year!

my 365 pictures.  I have my picture today in both color and black and white.

080101001_2

080101001bw

I am doing this. :)  Taking a picture a day. This is the left overs of our Sparling Apple Grape Juice from last night.

I have been reflecting a bit lately--not too uncommon this month, I guess. LOL!  So I have begun working on some things.  I am reading two wonderful books (I addition to my normal reads): Life Art, By Ali Edwards, and Th Artist's Way, by Julia Cameron.  Both have struck some level of inspiration in my artistic soul.  I am trying to free that part of me up more.  And I am enjoying the process.  I feel very blessed to have people who have encouraged my ALL my life to be true to who I am and to strive to develop my God given talents.  My Mom and Dad were my first advocates buying my paint brushes and paints to allow me to paint on my bedroom wall when I was in JR high school.  Thank you!

I believe that I am the one who has hindered my artistic growth.  I put restrictions on when I can let my art flow.  I have buried it a bit under the needs of my family, and I feel it longing to exist more.  I struggle regularly with wanting to try new things and never having the time.  So one thing I realized the other morning was that I need to be more organized.  I just have to.  I have always blamed my life-chaos on my free spirit and artsy side.  But I have reached a point in life where in order for me to exist more as ME the real me, deep in, I need to organize myself.  Then every needful thing in my life will be able to co-exist.  Right now I feel different aspects of my life in conflict with each other, only because I am not as in control as I need to be.

Wish my luck on this journey. :)

October 31, 2007

I am so old! HA HA HA!!

Just had to jump on really fast to post something completely, 100%, cute.  and  a bday coupon code for my store.

code:  mybday25

No, I am not 25 years old; it is for 25% off in my Store. HERE.
Good for 1 time use per user for today and tomorrow.

Now the cute story and pictures.

Yesterday was my bday.  It was a busy day, and I knew that dh wasn't going to be able to be home early for any sort of celebration, so we will do that later.  He did take me out to lunch, at my favorite restaurant here.  Which I loved.  I had chicken fajitas.  MMMMM!!!  And then we went and picked out a sewing machine for me.  FABULOUS!!!  I have been using my moms very old (probably about 35+ years) sewing machine.  It gives me more trouble that actual stitches so I RARELY pull it out.  I am very excited about my new one! :)

So, then I ran around with the kids getting all their last minute Halloween things together, and buying things for their class parties.  My son had swimming lessons,  we grabbed some quick dinner, and came home to get ready for bed.

After all the bedtime stuff, I received the best presents EVA!

My two older kids (ages 7 and 5) had been sneaking around earlier in the paper and pens.  I figured they were drawing me pictures, but I had no idea how awesome and fun they'd be.

Here is number one from my daughter (age 5)

Bday3_3

I just love it!  Other than it is from her, she just barely started learning to read and write, and I love how she sounded out the words (with her big brothers help).  If you are not used to reading inventive spelling this says, "Mom, you are 32 years old."  It is fabulous!

Then here is the first one I opened from my son (age 7)

Bday2

It is awesome, too.  I love the personal writing from him. "Dear Mom, Happy Birthday, Mom, have a happy birthday."

BUT this is the BEST ONE ever!

Bday1

ROFL!!!!!! Did you understand that!!  OM GOSH!!  dh and I were laughing so loud.  "Dear Mom, you are so old.  Why are you so old?  Happy Birthday!"   seriously!  "you are so old!"  HA HA HA!!!  I love it!  It would make a great bday card!  LOL!!

Well, I hope you enjoyed that.  and had a good laugh!

Don't forget about the coupon code. :)  Good through tomorrow! :)  Happy day!

HEEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOOO!!!!!! :)

Hey there! Long time no write!  I am here, I haven't gone anywhere.  My in laws did not stay for a whole month. LOL!  I just have been, well,

Ult1

SO... as you can see, I have been a little preoccupied.  I actually have been feeling sick sick sick until about two weeks ago.  But, luckily, it hasn't been anything like my last three pregnancy.  I was still able to function, I only threw up a handful of times.  And with my other three I threw up multiple times a day.  Ugh!  So at least this time I only was totally exhausted and feeling YUCKY. :)

I have been feeling so much better that last two weeks so that is a very good thing.  I am 3 and a half months along.  We are very excited.  And anxious to find out if it is a boy or a girl.  We already have one boy and two girls. :)

Hopefully that helps explain where I have been for that last bit.  I am back for a few months.  At least until the baby is born, and hope to put new things out more regularly again. :)

And here is my latest.  Doodle Frames.  I think they are so cute.  I hope you like them.

Adcdoodleframespre

As usual you can grab them at scrapartist.

Thanks for visiting.
And I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  :)
